Because Dog Ownership Is A Way Of Life!

I believe that the relationship you have with your dog is about more than just training – it’s about creating a strong bond and living life together.  That is why I have created The On Cue Club. It is for anyone who would like to get out with their dog and do fun things with other dogs and their owners. I do not charge for any of the events and everyone is welcome even if you have not trained with me. Our Free events, training sessions, and social gatherings are geared towards building a community that lives life together with their dogs. Just pick an event and sign-up!

What is the AKC FIT DOG Turkey Trot?

  • The AKC FIT DOG Turkey Trot is a virtual 5K (3.1 miles) that people do with their dogs. This non-competitive 5K Turkey Trot can be done all at one time, or in smaller segments on multiple days so that everyone (people and dogs) can participate at their own pace. This can be a walk or run activity. This year, Turkey Trot proceeds will be used to support programs for AKC Juniors. Juniors participate in multiple AKC events, and they can earn scholarships for their education.

How do I join The AKC FIT DOG Turkey Trot?

  • On Cue Dog Training is an approved FIT DOG CLUB and is proud to support the community in staying active while including our dogs. There are several ways you can join the AKC Turkey Trot but to join it with the On Cue Team you will need to register with On Cue Dog Training through Nicole Woodward.

Does it cost anything to join the Turkey Trot?

  • There is a $25 fee that covers the cost of a medal, a participation certificate and any administration fees. $20 (plus a shipping fee) goes directly to the AKC.

When do I need to register by?

  • The fee can be be paid anytime before Dec. 1st but to receive your medal in time for the On Cue Dog Training, Medal Ceremony you need to register with Nicole by November 17th.

What if I can't go to the Friday Night Pack Walks?

  • You can still join! All you need to do is keep track of your walks (with or without the group), and how far they are. Once you reach the 5K mark (3.1 miles) give your log to Nicole and you will earn your medal! On Cue will also hold other pack walks during this time and you can get your miles that way as well.

How do I keep track of my walks?

  • You can use anyway that is convenient for you. Just jot down your distances and share them with Nicole. If you would like to print out a Tracking Log you can print one out here.

Can someone from out of town join?

  • Absolutely! Nicole will have the AKC Turkey Trot medal shipped directly to them! Just reach out to her with all the info to sign up.

How will I receive my medal?

  • We will have a Medal Ceremony at one of the pack walks, (date to be determined)! If you can't make the ceremony just let Nicole know and she will make sure you receive your medal.

I'm in! How do I sign up?
